The Nature of Mathematics
What is the nature of mathematics?
- Complicated games with symbols and operators?
- An a priori body of purely logical construction?
- Procedures and techniques defined by the physical world?
- Objective universe of mathematical entities?
Mathematics is, in analogy to the physical sciences, the objective
science of a universe of abstracted entities which are not causally
connected to the physical universe.
